I don't want to beat a dead horse but its because they are at the Capitol and are not in a war zone that they should look their best. If they were on deployment of course no one would expect them to trim the Irish pennants of their uniform. But at the nation's capitol with the world's cameras on them, our troops even the Guard should do their utmost to uphold the military's highest traditions. Attention to detail to their uniform and some attempt to move in a military manner is not to much to expect when the Commander in Chief is being inaugurated and you are there effectively as his guards.

I think he was, at least until he wasn't with time/age. He was obviously an integral part to the Patriot's system and success, but Tom Brady was the #1 reason since he started 20 years ago. Over 5 years ago, I figured Tom would make an amazing coach because of how well he understands the game - he's pretty much a player/coach at this point. I doubt the Buccs' coach has much power over him.

“He actually lectured the mother for leaving the child in the car and threatened to call the police on her,” said Officer Matt Henderson, a Beaverton police spokesman.

He may be allowed to exist so long as he bends the knee. Opposition to Putin is allowed in Russia, but it has to take the form he likes. It's actually part of the Kremlin's propaganda strategy: they allow the most absurd opposition to exist, communists and ultra-nationalists, and Putin gets to appear the great moderate. There's even a media organization called, and I shit you not, SNOB in Russia which is very anti-Kremlin. However, on the board of directors are mainly LBTQ+ activists who the Kremlin can paint as loonie tunes elites preoccupied with niche idpol issues and out of touch with the real Russians (they literally work for a publication called SNOB). If you start finding receipts, though, you'll end up like Sergei Magnitsky or Anna Politkovskaya.

Sleep is the death of the day. Not wanting to wake up is not so far away from wishing for death. I can tell how well things are going for me by my relationship with the act of going to sleep.

You're right. I'm never willing to relinquish the day,.but yet it's almost 4:00AM and the idea of sleep is absurd to me.

Can you elaborate on relationships and their relations to sleeping?

I'm reading some books right now by Peter Pomerantsev and it is a fucking horror show cum laugh riot.

Apparently there were apartment bombings in 2002 done by Chechens. Putin's response to the Chechen war is a big part of why he is where is now. The only problem is that one of these explosions was announced by the speaker of the Duma 3 days before it happened.

The notion that these bombings were done or allowed to happen by the FSB is something also Anna Politkovskaya was investigating.

Politkovskaya was arrested by Russian military forces in Chechnya and subjected to a mock execution. She was poisoned while flying from Moscow via Rostov-on-Don to help resolve the 2004 Beslan school hostage crisis, and had to turn back, requiring careful medical treatment in Moscow to restore her health.

She was murdered in 2006. I relied heavily on one of her books for a university essay in 2005.
