I used to play CS:Source Jailbreak, where you have a couple of guards and a whole bunch of prisoners. Whenever I was a guard I would completely lose my shit and punish everyone severely for their insolence.

Sorry man, squiggly red line hints aside, actual typos don't phase me but the continual abuse of the English language bugs me and I can't help it. I've even found grammatical mistakes in my own posts and corrected them hours or days after the fact. I present the following issues.

* 's used as a plural rather than a possessive. Correct: It was Gabe's turn to clean the shit out of the cages.

* to, too, and sometimes even two used improperly. Correct: I wanted to blast her in the ass two days in a row but she was too sore.

*there, their, and they're. Correct: There was that time that Nicholas turned down their offer of cocaine and they're still in shock.

* less vs. fewer. This has been used wrong for so long it's become accepted and I hate it. Correct: Usually a beer drinker, he finds that he has less of a hangover when he consumes fewer shots of fireball.

*not starting a sentence with a capital letter. Baffling.

*paragraphs, how do they work?

That's all I can think of off the top of my head this morning as my blood/caffeine level is not yet sufficient. I briefly took up the mantle of grammar Nazi after Homer's demise but it's too much work. If this post helps even one person I'm calling it a W.

Yeah, I have explained it before but people don't realize how much Captain Pedantic ignores compared to what is actually pointed out. Abuse of "begs the question" is probably the most damaging to my mood. But I would mainly rather people would just stop using apostrophes altogether if they aren't going to use them correctly. That one thing alone would ease the strain on my obsessive-compulsive brain quite a lot.

The lack of capitals doesn't bother me as much because of the likelihood most of those are people on mobiles used to casual short messages.
