He has said some pretty terrible things, but again, trying to say one person should not be punished for doing something by saying someone else did not get punished for it, is not really a defense.

Now I will also point out I am no fan of Twitter, Google Amazon and other big tech.
They all have an agenda (duh) and are hypocrites. Instead of whining about it I have closed my twitter account years ago same with Facebook and I dont use Amazon.
I try shop near produced and local when possible.

And I miss Trump on Twitter it was entertaining and dumb.

I doubt it. People have called protestors and rioters insurrectionists (with accuracy) for ages. They aren't mutually exclusive by any means.
Trump himself said he'd invoke the insurrection act if there were mass protests when he lost. Bush invoked it for the L A riots.
