I don’t care if it was left over truffle risotto. It wasn’t eating off a friends place while your all sharing appetizer, this was the equivalent of sitting down at table in a restaurant that wasn’t cleared and eating off the plates

When I dropped out of college and was living in a ghetto shithole eating government cheese and rice I would take advantage of my dishwasher job by foraging leftovers from plates the wait staff brought back. Sometimes I'd cut around some pieces to get to the good shit. I always gained weight when the chicken marsala special came through, that was some good chicken.

Once again SMH at the dainty palates of others, sigh...

Thanks man. I think people are often grossed out by things that aren't that gross, but then they go ahead and do socially accepted gross stuff.

No, it's not the equivalent. It's a school, not a restaurant, people throw away perfectly fine food and then get grossed out when somebody decides enough is enough.
 
@Sara Ever ordered takeaway food? Those guys use pizzas as a fleshlight then put it back in the box.

One bar I worked at also served food. When food went back to the kitchen that was uneaten if it was like french fries the cooks woul dtake the uneaten ones and throw them all in a separate bin in our stand up oven They'd do the same thing with other "finger" food stuff and that was chowed down on by staff at the end of the night. Never did the "cut bits off" of partially eaten sandwiches and shit but basically staff ate leftovers and whatever orders they couldn't sell that night that wouldn't be able to get used the next day.

They should've done the right thing and destroyed all of that perfectly fine food.
