You really that high on Stafford? I agree with the rest of your list, but Stafford has always struck me as exceptionally un-clutch. And he had some talent around him c. 2014 when the refs threw that wild card game to the Cowboys. But then he got his contract. And giving a top contract to a periphery top ten QB is just a franchise killer.

Personally, I'd like to see the Lions ship Stafford and his contract and take a flier on Darnold instead.

It was the only Lions QB that I could come up with outside of Rodney Peete. We aren't exactly rolling out Scott Mitchell. I think he's really talented though honestly and the Lions never bother to put an offensive line out there (Ray Roberts was nicknamed freeway) nor a competent draft (thanks Matt Millen) so it's hard to know how good he could have been. I certainly don't deem him elite and he's fringe top 10 imo.

I would too and supposedly they are going to explore that. I think Darnold is going to stay in NYC
