Saw this post in a thread about ECW shows back in the day

"Use to go to them with a friend, they were great. Fast forward 10 years or so and I became a teacher. My one kid was a pain in the ass and his parents came in for a conference, it was no other then The Sandman. Explained a lot of the behaviors."

The stories I’ve heard is Sandman wasn’t a character, that was how he legitimately was.

Most "wrestlers" in ECW were just themselves, like Dreamer and Douglas. Sandman, even though he was a terrible worker, influenced the Stone Cold character. RVD was basically himself, but he was the best talent molded there. The rest like Benoit, Jericho, Malenko, Mysterio, etc. used it as a transition to WCW.

As a child, I just assumed that the natural progression in 90s wrestling was ECW - WCW - WWF.

I actually started following wrestling in 1998 during the height of the Goldberg era. WCW was available on free TV. WWE not. DVDs and the internet (and a website called Lordsofpain.net that featured downloadable highlights) opened my view further.

Btw just learned

Raven possesses an IQ of 143 and is a member of Mensa and the Theta Chi fraternity.[

I've watched that kid get clapped about 50 times now and I'm still kind of in awe of him sticking around. I would probably leave town if I got knocked out next to the hot case at the corner store

Also as a former gas station cashier I gotta say that would have made my month and I would write off dude's busted drink

Still cannot watch Twitter videos :( but I googled that and...
Man that was satisfying

I remember watching scenes like this unfold all the time when I was younger.

Luckily there wasn't a camera around all the time back then.
