@Cubo de Sangre I got them to "Compromise" that they would push my last day back by a week and let me take vacation that week.... GENIUSES that's what a fucking vacation payout is

At first they said to me "This policy is perfectly legal" but were flabbergasted when I asked for them to explain to me how it's ethical

Has to be him. He was a promising politician who had his whole presidential campaign undermined by FDR when he labeled him as one of the most dangerous men in America. He felt FDR's New Deal was not radical enough and was huge on pushing wealth redistribution.

I'm just looking at his wiki and the dynamics seem backwards. Long was a big supporter of FDR and than attacked him for not going Left enough. It also looks like his Presidential campaign was targeting FDR at the time, again for not being left enough. Basically this all seems like Long snubbing FDR and not the other way around. Also I thought the guy was running as a member of a Socialist Party as opposed to a socialist running as Democrat.


I said all that to say you're probably right and I'm misremembering the facts.... It's my very own Political Shazam situation.....

It's not a long story. Basically we can normally rollover 40 hours of Vacation a year but they upped it to 80 hours for this year only due to COVID. But apparently they stipulated that you can't get paid out for the additional 40 hours rolled over because they think that they are giving me Vacation out of the kindness of thier hearts.

Look here, bud. I didn't know about any of this till this morning, but after doing some googling I have successfully convinced myself that I am right about your own memories.

This is me taking a principled stand. I suggest you do the same.
