You're lumping me with a lot of people who are not at all similar to me. My take (and I actually think most "market-oriented liberals" would agree with this) is that cash benefits are the best solution to poverty. I've said many times that poverty in the developed world is mostly a matter of people in certain groups (elderly, children, and the disabled mostly) not getting any market income, and that it is fixed by giving people in those groups transfer income. That's not austerity at all, and people who try to engineer market results to reduce poverty are not of my persuasion.
And I'd think that progressives would be our allies on this one, but sadly, that is not what I find.
Side note, I've noticed True Progressives (happy, @Andy Capp?) have started using "austerity" to refer to things that are manifestly not austerity (recent example is that dipshit David Sirota). What's up with that?
How about mr Trotsky will find IRA situation? I admit it's close to my heart and us as polish were always Ireland freedom fighters. How about that?Aggressively tailoring entitlements was the work of the Clintonites (and ideological descendants like Amy Klobuchar and Cory Booker), not the McGoverns before them or the socialists, etc. after them. In fact, failing to condition welfare programs has been a constant criticism of the socialist left.
Does "True Progressives" just mean Anung? Because I don't think it's remotely true that there is a left wing faction that is hung up on tailoring payouts to the poor. On this particular subject, you clearly have more in common with progressives more than mainstream liberals...so it's striking that you're calling out the former.
I do not know. I've only read two things by Sirota in recent memory, the latest being a piece i strongly disagreed with, arguing the Dems should hold the COVID bill hostage over the minimum wage.
Without knowing what you're talking about, I'd guess it's sloppiness/imprecision.

I see no example, along with your usual name-calling. Nice.
As for you, we have you breaking your word on our bet. And the Warren thing, where you misrepresented my position, I corrected you, and you insisted on continuing to misrepresent my position. Many more examples I could have given, of course.

You call for an example and in the same post give one. Wait, two actually. Nice. Dipshit.
@StoneColdSteveAustin the mustard sauce is 3 tablespoons of Mayo (Japanese Mayo) and 1 teaspoon of Grey Poupon Dijon mustard.
He is a demagogue. The one guy that treats him serious is himself. You call for an example and in the same post give one. Wait, two actually. Nice. Dipshit.
I'm watchin youThat would be just an edit fail. Lighten, up Francis.
Italians when they see trash:I'm watchin you
Oh I will. That sounds very easy to make lol. Hope you enjoy
It is if it's deliberate, which is why I gave you the benefit of the doubt in pointing it out. You'll note the conditional nature of my reply. It's not intellectually dishonest. That phrase gets thrown around too much by leftists. You can call it lazy, if you want to be a prick, I guess.

Get that...a "funny" guy from commie neighborhood has nothing to add.I'm watchin you

Nor did I call it lazy. Even the most careful speaker can be a little loose, particularly in the Lounge, but I feel it's appropriate to hold you to the standard you set for others here in as much as I also left room for you to say, "Oh yeah, my bad," like an adult, but you uncharacteristically resorted to name-calling instead. Are you drunk?
Have we met?Get that...a "funny" guy from commie neighborhood has nothing to add.
I'm glad pete really that you have this space to sometimes meet failures like yourself.
That's really optimistic. For you parents i guess.
He talks about commies but can't even speak English. I sense a spy amongst our midst.Have we met?
