I wear sneakers when I ride bike, but I just buy whatever trash is at walmart and on sale. Otherwise its steeltoe boots year round.

One of the biggest failures of the current American left (i.e. left of the Dem center) is allowing or outright supporting this push where hypocrisy and failure to break the law in pursuit of one's own beliefs are equated by morons on the right. This poster seriously called someone else a hack for failing to mention Kamala Harris' actions as California AG (locking ppl up for Marijuana despite purporting to believe it should be legal) while criticizing MTG's "Christian values" platform while carrying out multiple extramarital affairs.

You’re impugning your own views on what constitutes “Christian values”. And color me shocked that a politician campaigns on values they don’t actually practice. Kinda like how Kamala campaigned on criminal justice reform only to throw people in prison for years for pot. But you know, only one of these examples actually matters. Strangely, you care about the one that doesn’t. Hack
One of those actions was taken pursuant to the rule of law. The law said pot was illegal and provided sentencing guidelines. Harris, as an enforcer of the law, followed it rather than changing it. If Kamala believed pot should be legal, she'd have had to betray the oath of her office, the will of the people, and broken the law to enforce that belief.

There was never a law saying you have to fuck around on your spouse. To enforce the belief that you shouldn't, all Green had to do was not fuck other guys.

As usual, you have no regard for reason. You're just a hack.

As many of you know, I'm not a fan of Harris' politics, record, or acumen, but it hard to ignore the fact that these unrealistic double standards stick to her more easily than other politicians.

https://www.encyclopedia.com/law/legal-and-political-magazines/prosecution-prosecutorial-discretion

The term "prosecutorial discretion" refers to the fact that under American law, government prosecuting attorneys have nearly absolute and unreviewable power to choose whether or not to bring criminal charges, and what charges to bring, in cases where the evidence would justify charges. This authority provides the essential underpinning to the prevailing practice of plea bargaining, and guarantees that American prosecutors are among the most powerful of public officials. It also provides a significant opportunity for leniency and mercy in a system that is frequently marked by broad and harsh criminal laws, and, increasingly in the last decades of the twentieth century, by legislative limitations on judges' sentencing discretion.

The prosecutor thus plays a pivotal role in the administration of justice in America. To the extent that the prosecutor is the lawyer for the state, her client is not the police department or the individual victim of a crime, but society itself. As a practical matter, moreover, the prosecutor is not merely the attorney who represents society's interest in court, but also the public official whose job it is to decide, as a substantive matter, the extent of society's interest in seeking punishment.

Lmao. Excuses for Kamala's hypocrisy. As AG of California she could have relaxed the enforcement of state marijuana laws, similar to how Holder eased federal enforcement. But she didn't. She continued to lock people up for pot. gtfo.

I'm confused, I thought cops locked people up, not prosecutors. And I thought judges sentenced them, not prosecutors.
