Jack Savage was an amalgamation of different styles from different people.
Entertaining and sometimes almost brilliant…
Until it wasn’t.

No, just MAGA apologists. People who will side with MAGA in just about every post, but when you call them out, they’ll say that actually they are centrists and disapprove of some of the things Trump has done.

Actually being MAGA in the War Room, as much as this place has declined is still a somewhat difficult position to have because it’s objectively stupid and difficult to defend, so it’s exclusively the domain of posters who are trolls or who only post twitter screenshots.

He had been the same guy since 2004 or whenever he joined. He also had the same effect on people then when he exclusively posted in the HW’s. I remember one guy that hated him so much (but could rarely win an argument with him) that he had in his signature a single quote from Jack that said something along the lines of “I don’t think Frank Mir is a better grappler than Cain Velasquez”

That was basically all he had on him and he felt it was so important that he put it in his signature. Jack has been gone for like 2 years now and we’re still talking about him.

He was the same guy who was brilliant, but maybe not as much as he thinks he is, someone who has never been wrong by his own admission and never seemed curious or doubtful as to his own opinion. He also seemed pretty partisan in MMA in that he pretty much only watched the UFC, but I only have memories of the guy going back to the post-PRIDE era. I don’t know if that part makes as much sense in writing as it does in my head, but I think you’ll get the point.

OK, well stated.
Perhaps there’s some truth to that I’m personally not here enough to make that judgment, but I appreciate you weighing it on the subject.

Perreira is my favourite fighter these days. A lot of my favourites have retired.
