I know our Healthcare system needs fixing but I think our Public Education system is a close second.

Sounds like your friend is making excuses for his own failings. I'd bet a nickel he voted for Pierre Poilievre too and is still crying about losing. This country is not "fucked on all levels" and it is certainly far less fucked up than the US. LOL @ even suggesting that it might be.

It also sounds like neither of you are aware that education is a provincial responsibility so what happens in one province is not necessarily happening in any other. What province is your friend in? If it's Quebec then I will retract my first two sentences and forgive him his skewed perception of the state of the nation--Qubec is... well, let's just say it's different.

but if he's ditching the tesla's and the cybertruck is only for the people who prefer political feelings over fashion and functionality, then what other options are out there in their department?

Yea, I don’t get the desire for one of those. They look like a prototype for some cheesy futuristic car but functionally just seem like a bulky junk car. I do see them around the city though. Unsure how good the sales our compared to the other models

i'm assuming that's it. they have a couple tesla models and a cybertruck. but now they are ditching the model series, and deciding to build some robots instead.

yeah robots are cool and shit and maybe they could feature them in a movie or some shit to show off to their fellow car enthusiasts just what they've done with all their money, and show some workers just what jobs they will be losing, but how many miles are these robots gonna get me on a full charge?

nvidia has already went sideways in order to mine out the ai bro's wallets. tesla is saying fuck cars, we're now all about robots. what's next? is starbucks going to say to hell with our coffee, we're gonna start selling crocheting kits instead?

He said Carney has a shit load of problems to deal with.

It would be nice if you guys could hash it out, since most of that is meaningless to me, but he refuses saying WR is toxic.

I didn't claim everything is perfect. I concede productivity is an issue but I think that's being addressed under the current government--guess we'll see. When it comes to resource exploitation, it's a very nuanced topic and I won't get into it here.

What I did do is I disputed the claim that we're "fucked top to bottom" throughout the entire country.

I'd need a source on the claim we have the highest inflation rate since it is was 2.2% last time I checked, and which is considered pretty much on target.

The Alberta separatist movement is being fueled by interference (and tons of money) from the US and has no chance of success but serves the purposes of those who would sow division here--the US, other foreign actors, and Little PP and Danielle Smith's partes of crybabies.

And what Quebec referendum? The one from many years ago that got shot down and hasn't been a factor anytime since?

Speaking of that, you have a sex offender and fraud as your head of state destroying your nation's standing among its closest allies among other putrid shit, you have a supreme court that is happy to abrogate it's duty to uphold the constitution and enforce the separation of powers, and a dickless legislative branch that can't seem to find its own arse with both hands. And we're supposedly more fucked than that? LMAO.

Anyway, I'm not interested in hashing it out with someone who claims the country is fucked top to bottom, particularly without having any apparent awareness of the above.
