Wai’s problem was he wouldn’t back off of anything and doubled/ tripled down on it when he wasn’t even pushed into it. Remember when he said he used only politicians formal names and then his post history clearly show he didn’t do that? Instead of just admitting it wasn’t something he used to do, he kept going with that schtick. It was kinda like Greoric’s brother but less crazy.

But he didn't want to admit what he was up to so he tried not only to say it was a universal rule but to actually make it one. I was happy to help by pointing out that McConnell's real first name is Addison, and Rand is short for Randal. I think most jackasses here would just be unapologetically inconsistent and hackish.

Do we have any vegans here besides @BEER ? I think @Sara is vegetarian. Any other vegetarians?

Just wondering because I noticed BEER voted for Indian and I do think it’s a cuisine that works really well vegetarian or vegan. Thai is the one I think I would vote for if I kept vegan as I think most dishes you can substitute tofu or seitan for the protein and it’s still really great because the spices really carry the dish anyways. Indian is similar.

He just became a caricature of himself and got really unhinged. While I prefer to remember those halcyon days before he lost his marbles, it is hard to separate the two.

Yea, at one point he could’ve just dropped it or maybe just stated why he specifically wouldn’t use it for Beto but he had to pretend it was some type of principled thing when it clearly wasn’t and even if it somehow was, who the heck cares about a principled stance on the name you use for a person? I brought up his post about him saying Harris was his favorite to win the primary when he was bragging about his picks and he brought it up so many more times to defend his reasoning despite me only mentioning it once. It’s like stuff like that ate at him and he should’ve learned to just shrug things off after a bit and go on. Instead, he just kept carry the weight of an additional thing again and again until he sounded like some crazy guy talking about plums and his mother being slutty, etc.

There definitely were two distinct Wai‘s. He was a great poster at the beginning imo. I think people picking at him lead to the crazy meltdown version we all remember. I just don’t get why he got that way.
