1000 posts per thread doesn't give me enough time to work myself up to make a new thread.

How much of it you think is Buzbee being a prick? He's an Ag so I gotta be thankful he's on our side, but man that dude is some kind of work.

I know he's a regent there. Buzbee is a complete shithead but he's worth over 700 million dollars for a reason. He also doesn't take cases he can't win. Of course some of these lawsuits are trash. It will settle out of court.

I heard Buzbee is going to go after a lot of other guys hence the huge number of suits. He ultimately wants a settlement with the the NFL. That's his end game

Full disclosure I'm probably the whitest dude in this thread lol

@Loiosh, someone is coming for your title as "whitest person on Sherdog."

Man wants to be Red McCombs and T. Boone Pickens all at once, with every bit of the ego to go with it. Obviously i'm not plugged into the Big Money Ag network, but the little bit that makes it out lets you know who the power players are. And it's always fucking Buzbee.

damn dude...you put some thought into this. lol

LMAO Yeah, this case was very close to home. Like I said, I've worked on Boylston Street for 13 years and, at that time, walked up and down that very sidewalk every day where both bombs went off. Then that following Friday, I was locked down in Watertown all fucking day after that shootout, when Dzokhar was still on the loose. That was a long, scary day my friend. Watertown is only like 4 square miles. We were not far from the area of the shootout or the boat at all. I obsessed over that case. I couldn't get info fast enough.

I guess I wouldn't expect everybody to have the same knowledge and investment in the case as I did, and to view Patriot's Day the way I did. That story deserved to be more than just a Marky Mark falls ass backwards into every major incident that happened type of movie. I would have loved a multi-layered story and a big cast to carry the story. With kind of like an Oliver Stone's "JFK" vibe, just no conspiracy theories.

Italian, Spanish or Greek?
Of those 3 food choices Spanish. Barcelona had some of the best and freshest food I’ve ever had In my life. Also one of the most drunken nights in my life off their wine mixed with spirits

Spot on

Barry is the best show on TV. Hilarious, inventive, and phenomenally acted.

It wasn't so much whether Wahlberg overacted or not, it's about how much more involved he made his character in the movie. Being a Producer, he can do that. Okay he's at the finish line when the bombs go off. Makes sense, there were a lot of BPD there. But then he's somehow also privy to walk around the warehouse where the evidence was being processed? Eh, stretching it..... but okay. Then he mouths off to Kevin Bacon's character, who is an FBI investigator. Any cop would be immediately reprimanded and suspended, if not fired, for that. But what I really couldn't stand was the fact that Wahlberg's character, a Boston cop, is the first one on scene to the house where the boat was...... in Watertown. A Boston cop could be the first to respond to a 911 call in Watertown? In a Boston police cruiser? The fuck? Took me right out of it. The whole shootout scene in Watertown was so over exaggerated as well.
I haven’t seen the movie but seems like you’ve got a good take. But you’d be surprised how often guys have mouthed off to FBI, ATF, US Marshals, etc. and there’s not even a reprimand. Just cause they’re feds I have to listen to their shit? Lol nah, especially if they’re not the lead agency in the case (not sure who was in this bombing but it was likely FBI or ATF). Here they usually just support us, and rank still outweighs any agency cache FBI might have in the minds of the public. But for a bombing yeah ATF would usually be the lead agency out here, but Boston PD I would imagine has a pretty good bomb squad themselves.

Edit: to be fair I haven’t seen the movie so I’m not sure how bad this “mouthing off” was or what the ranks involved were

You're telling me, not once has any of this been settled over a game of dodgeball?
