Social WR Lounge 243: Can you make threads while yellow?

1000 posts per thread doesn't give me enough time to work myself up to make a new thread.

I repeatedly get called basically a race traitor by @Social Distance Warrior even though I don't think I've ever said anything that would suggest that I hate white people.
To me like being called a racist be it against Black people or white people is not something I’ve ever gotten angry about. I think there is a dangerous perception that being called racist is now worse than racism. Reacting with such outrage has never struck me as an appropriate response.

Being a racist is something one can control. If I act in a way that makes someone think I am a racist it causes me to reflect. It’s not permanent. I think it’s important to be reminded of our own ability to slip in and out of hate, regardless of political affiliation.

I haven't fully caught up on the last lounge thread, nor this this one at all, but the irony of the discussion about the bad behavior of others from around the 500 post mark is full of such agonizingly bitchmade hypocrisy from @Social Distance Warrior I feel like it's a fitting tribute to our recently banned homie.

To wit,

Dude, you went into a rage on account of a half-joking dismissal of Joe Rogan and followed that by tagging me in multiple threads and multiple full on rants replete with name calling and outrageous accusations of addiction to drugs, dishonesty, suicidal tendencies, and more. And you think others should behave better, double pissbelt?

Of course, you will dismiss this as dishonest even as it's a direct quote and everyone here saw the other comments to me. I should have reported you but some people don't want to see you banned for some reason so perhaps it's just as well. Mind you, I doubt @LazaRRus will take any bets on whether I will hesitate next time it's called for.

Also, inb4 "How dare you use the things I have said to prove a point about me!"
You should only ever report porn, don’t worry about anything else, the mods will catch the rule breakers.

Lately I’ve decided to stop being racist

It's another example of what I was talking about earlier. These people are playing a different game.

Sartre:
Edit: the Sartre quote didn't come with the post, to wit,
Never believe that anti‐Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly since he believes in words. The anti‐Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument has passed.
That quote is perfectly accurate in terms of my experience of this place of late.

My Trumpanzees have mostly ran away but now a new wave of them has arrived. They focus on the Globalists and you may have noticed their CPU’s are still receiving updates to expand their vocabularies. They appear to mostly have gone rogue as well, a glitch in the hardware I’m afraid.

I think of racism more as an ideology--that race is a permanent, significant factor in social outcomes (e.g., Africa is much poorer than Europe and always will be because of inherent features of black and white people). In that sense, I think it's more of an intellectual than a moral failing, in a category with anti-Vaxxism, creationism, and Austrianism. And it's far more common than I think people want to acknowledge.

@tonni is it true Belgium fries are that amazing? Do you eat them one by one or shove a bunch In your tiny bird mouth at once ?

BTW, the post I was referring to earlier was when I said that people take "regressive tax cuts are self-financing through their effect on growth" and "there is no evidence that regressive tax cuts noticeably affect growth" as just equivalent statements of partisanship, whose "truth" is dependent only on one's partisan leaning. I think that kind of thinking is actually natural in the sense that it's how people approach issues unless they learn better, but rightists aren't learning better. So another example would be if someone said "if we allow more Mexicans, Chinese, or Arabs to come here, our country will have the same bad outcomes as the countries that they're leaving," and someone else said, "that's a clear statement of racism and stupid," rightists would counter with "the second guy is racist against white people" and think that that's totally fair.

They don’t have thugs in Belgium so he’s just confused
I could give you a map of places where a Hungarian twink like you would get mugged in under an hour.
