It is a complete waste of a fight beyond Dustin possibly getting a nice payday. With regard to my view on the rankings Dustin has nothing to gain and much to lose in taking this fight.
Do you honestly believe that if Conor won a 4th fight, that he would give Dustin an instant rematch for number 5? There is literally no way in hell that would ever happen. Nate is still waiting on the trilogy. Why didn’t that fight happen instead of that debacle with Cowboy? Conor is not giving Dustin a chance to take the best of 5 series.. EVER.I dont want to see part 4. I do not see Dustin losing, but if by some fluke he does there will have to be a #5. That is just too many fights against the same person close together.
Dana didn't even think Conor would stand a chance against Masvidal and you think he's gonna throw him in there with Usman? Lol
For whatever reason you seem fit?
No, that bread is stale now. Conor gets an immediate shot at the WW strap whenever he feels like it. This is not a sport where rankings matter, only PPV numbers matter and Conor is the king in that department.
This is next if he decides to come back I think.
Conor vs Masvidal (at the height of his run) would've sold more ppvs and they never came close to making that fight. If Mcgregor Usman is estimated to sell over 1.5 million ppv’s, Dana will definitely sign off on this. Dana doesn’t give a shit about Conor getting smashed in the octagon or what you think is fair.
This is not a sport where ranking matter, this is entertainment and what makes the most revenue is the fight to get the UFC push.
Well. Poirier likely gives him a whalloping again so. I'm for it for that reason, but otherwise agree with youNo. I don't care to see McGregor again in any capacity
If Colby beats Usman and then Conor came back to fight Colby for the 170 belt, that would be the strangest and potentially most entertaining back and forth ever, leading up to the fight. The press conference would be gold.
Conor vs anybody sells close to that number. Certainly over a million. Why would you make an Usman fight, which the whole world knows is a squash match. When you can just do the Nate trilogy? Especially since you know that’s a guaranteed 1.5M ppv?If Mcgregor Usman is estimated to sell over 1.5 million ppv’s, Dana will definitely sign off on this. One of those two fights actually makes sense. The other is beyond stupid. Conor is NEVER fighting Usman.
