Relationships Would you tolerate your son talking like this to you?

No fucking way. Of course, they wouldve been out on their ass the day they “came out” as completely delusional making subsequent disrespect impossible

I would tenderly embrace they/them, keep them close to me, caress the back of their neck, whisper in their ear that I understand they may be going through a lot, but that I need them to stay calm and relaxed. Then I would proceed to knee the absolute fuck out of them in the thai plum position until they laid unconscious.

I don't care what your preferred pronouns are... I don't even care if you're related to me... no one has the right to scream at someone like that without there being repercussions.

So some years back. I was visiting the beach with the fam. This 8ish year old kid and his father are right next to us. Don't hear what the dad said, but I DID hear the kid scream "You're acting like a little bitch right now." Should be said this was an Oregon beach.

I remember a vid years ago here where a Japanese dad confronted his son about something...his son got similarily angry but dad then completely destroyed his TV and video games like godzilla came thru. Anyone else remember that?

Might be more than meets the eye. Good parents wouldn't raise a son like this. The son bringing up rape and his father being alcoholic ("It's not an excuse!") is very strange, there could be a history there. Some psychopaths are pretty good at portraying socially-appropriate behaviour in public. Meaning if they know they're being filmed they'd probably get a kick out of making the victim look like the bad guy, e.g. the son in this instance, but be monstruous off-camera. A lot of people that had a scarring childhood come from families that looked perfect to outsiders. This kind of screaming by the son looks a little like what you'd see in some borderlines, but borderlines come from toxic childhoods. It's not impossible, but you'd hardly ever see one spring up from a happy upbringing.

good take. yeah, i definitely think there is a huge history there. it sure looked like a combination of bad parenting and a frustrated unsuccessful kid living at home. i'm leaning more towards the bad parenting/abuse angle because notice how docile the father is when the son is yelling. usually the father would return back with the wrongdoings of the son.

for those parents here with young kids, truly focus on their growth up to eighteen at the very least. the developmental years are crucial to what one's character will be.

The dad is hammered. I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on that. He's at a drunken state of almost confusion or lack of confidence because he knows he's shitfaced. It's very obvious to me by his mannerisms.

Indeed, he needs mental help from Dr. Jab and Therapist Uppercut.
