Better use of time than playing golf
I played since a kid, ime, the intropective nature of the game, affords axiomatic principals on how to live well/better in life. I'd rather walk, than ride a cart & being connected to nature walking brings out better thinking. Playing teaches & embeds in you, self awareness, acceptance, dealing with success & adversity/failure, and ultimately accountability.
It's a focus more on the process than outcome. A sort of stoicism in a way.
When you hit a ball right, your body feels connected in a flush way. It's a great feeling.
I don't play as much as I used too, bout 2 or 3 times a month.
Still hit balls at a range 10 minutes away from my house once a week.
I still get more from running & lifting daily, than I do in Golf, but for me it's an analogy/activity of how to live life & deal with what's thrown at you in life, or you've gotten yourself into.
That said, when I drink a lil bit & play, it's all the stuff I said previously, but funner... lol.
Video games are fun & teach eye hand coordination, but I'm not sure you get same skills as playing a real sport, imo.
It's just more entertaining than anything else.
