Would you help a kid out of a tree?

Have you ever seen a human skeleton in a tree? Kid can find its own way down.

Little Tommy Wilson (1981-1988).

They say no less than 30 adult bystanders ignored his cries to help him out of this tree in a mid-sized Ohio town. The wails and moans continued for days, growing gradually weaker. His bones remain there today as a reminder.

Funny answer, but the ultimate end would be a splattered kid on the ground if the kid had no way down from a tree for days on end. EDIT: Hmmmm...I had to see the above photo AFTER I posted...

How sad for Little Tommy, the poor DEER.

Every man (woman) for themselves. If she fell and broke her neck, consider it natural selection.

Yes, fuck the media and people in general for everyone being convinced everyone is a fucking :eek::eek::eek:. Most of us are normal, and if a kid is stuck I'm going to help them, fuck you for questioning me.

If I was in your situation and helped the kid and then the parents gave me a hard time I would fucking lay them out with a stiff right and put their kid back in the tree.

Just throw some rocks at the kid - They'll come down on their own.

No one helped George McFly out of the tree and look how he turned out!

You did the right thing, your wife needs to relax

At least you didn't point and laugh & call her a noob.

You're there with your wife and daughter, and your daughter was seen playing with the other little girl surely by her parents during the time there. No big deal in helping her down. It would be weird if you didn't and instead called over to her parents. Now if you were just a guy by himself walking though the park and happened to see a kid stuck in a tree and their parents oblivious - then you'd be better to holler over to their parents.

As a single guy every situation with kids is sorta like this -

This reminds me of that one part in Flatlliners where Kiefer Sutherland threw rocks at Billy Mahoney until he fell out of the tree and then died.

I would be scared to climb the tree to provide assistance.

I would just toss up a rope for them.

Some lone dude in the park picking up random kids is definitely bad, but a dad helping out a kid who was playing with his daughter is a different situation. TS did the right thing IMO.

I wouldn't because people are crazy and might assault me or go off on me.

Unless I was in the woods by myself or something and the kid was all alone.
