In their inevitable rematch.. and does Robbie go out on his shield if he does?

I say yes and yes.

He should try and utilize leg kicks. Not pussy leg kicks, HEAVY leg kicks. Otherwise I don't see him winning.

Robbie knows no other way of fighting. Takedowns might be a wise option in this matchup.

I get the impression Robbie would box with a kodiak bear just for the fuck of it.

Your asking if Robbie Lawler has the guts to box or fight somebody lol. Since you have not followed either of their careers you have not seen the progress Robbie has Made since his first run in the UFC a long time ago and Nick Diaz is the same fighter who is on a losing streak with one win over BJ Penn since returning to the UFC and on top of that a long ass layoff so ummmm duuuuuuh ahhhhhhh Sure Robbbie Lawler should be scared as a mothja%$%$&*er

Ofcourse he will. But he is a lot more mature now. In his younger days he was maybe more of a complete striker, used more kicks and knees than he does now. But he was very aggressive. He wanted to blow guys away. Now if you look at the Rory fight he was very calculated, stayed in the pocket but picked his shots and used head movement a lot. I think he will do the same against Nick and use his intelligence. He will box but he won't go all out stand and bang bro. He will try to win a UD.

Would Robbie Lawler have the guts? Hmmmmmmm

I'm thinking yes

Of course he does. He is a warrior and a champion. I'm sure he would love a chance to avenge that loss.
I became a die hard Nick Diaz fan that night. What a fight!

Lawlers boxing is extremely underrated. He can slip punches like crazy, blocks, and sets up counters really well utilizing the jab and cross.

It would be like asking a dog not to eat that pork chop.

Yes. Also his left straight is surprisingly fast as most his opponents have felt.

Lawler is not the same fighter he was in that first fight. He's much more clinical now, and that would serve him well. I think he'd stand with Nick, but he wouldn't swing and go in wildly the way he did, what, ten years ago...? Don't know if he'd get the KO, but I'd put my money on Ruthless in the rematch.
