Would MW be different if they stopped Anderson vs Bisping after the knee?

I'm of the opinion it should have been stopped.

That aside, imagine how the middleweight picture may have changed if they had stopped it and Anderson was the winner. Bisping wouldn't have gotten a title shot, very possibly never becoming champion in his career. Rockhold wouldn't have been KOd by Bisping, potentially changing his future if you believe that loss changed him. GSP may never have moved up for a title chance or, if he still did, he may have lost against a stronger champion. Romero may have fought Rockhold for the actual belt and won a belt before retiring.

Anything else you can think of that may have been affected?

Obviously. Bisping wouldn’t have been able to cherry pick #13 46 year old Hendo and GSP wouldn’t have come out of retirement to fight for the MW title against anyone other than 39 year old one eyed Ping.

Had Anderson followed up with punches I really believe the fight would have been stopped.
Andy goofed horribly by going to celebrate instead of finishing Bisping.
Wouldn't be Anderson if he didn't clown

LOL these threads are so full of salty Anderson fans bahahahahahaha

Bisping Schooled Anderson from start to finish. Anderson took advantage of a miscommunication and still lost.

PS Prime Bisping beats the breaks off of Prime Anderson.

War the Count
Bisping Bless
Yeah Buddeh

they couldn't have stopped it

the knee landed on the horn if he had followed up with punches they would have been illegal
If you're out after the bell or judged to be unable to continue then it can be stopped. Machida vs Thiago Silva is an example

well he was clearly able to continue seeing as he came back the next round like it never happened and got back to business
This isn't the point of the thread. Regardless, that's not how "able to continue" works

Dude. Your imagination is legit.
Great post.

Bisping finally getting a title shot and winning was one of UFC's greatest moments. it shows that against all odds you can make your dreams come true with a lot of hard work, determination, and a little luck.

on the contrary, if Anderson beat Bisping and had gotten the shot vs Rockhold and Matrix'd Luke to regain the championship, that would've been unbelievable too.
