I'm of the opinion it should have been stopped.
That aside, imagine how the middleweight picture may have changed if they had stopped it and Anderson was the winner. Bisping wouldn't have gotten a title shot, very possibly never becoming champion in his career. Rockhold wouldn't have been KOd by Bisping, potentially changing his future if you believe that loss changed him. GSP may never have moved up for a title chance or, if he still did, he may have lost against a stronger champion. Romero may have fought Rockhold for the actual belt and won a belt before retiring.
Anything else you can think of that may have been affected?
