Would GSP would of been able to beat 2014-2016 Robbie Lawler ?

I know fans don't like terms like "lucky" or "fortunate" because they instantly pair that with "fluke," but fights are chaos, so strikes get thrown and how they land do have some degree of chance to them.

I say that because I maintain that Rory was the "better" fighter that night, but the nose break damage was just too much to overcome. A fighter aims their punches at an opponents face most times they throw a punch, but landing it directly on the opponents nose isn't purely because they're just so awesome at striking. That bomb strike doesn't land perfect round 2, Rory takes that fight.
If you look at the fight stats, Rory threw some body shots and leg kicks. Robbie threw all of his strikes at Rory's head haha

Lawler is a better boxer than Hendrix and gsp but that's about it.. Lawler doesn't have the tdd to fight gsp the way Hendrix did ... Hendrix was a very good wrestler.

Gsp would have grapple fucked Lawler and it would of been a very boring fight as per the usually gsp fights in the time of the spider Silva era

Robbie Lawler prob pfp hit the hardest as a welter, the only guy I'd say was in his league is rumble, gsp has the highest fight IQ I've ever seen in the cage. That alone will take him over even the current welterweight roster

i hear ye, Rory nearly stopped Robbie on two occasions in the rematch. The WW landscape could've been easily warped with a different referee. Rory gave GSP fits in sparring, GSP knew he didn't want none of Lawler

Would be interesting to see how GSP's jab & TD game would work against a southpaw like 2014/16 Lawler

As soon as Lawler blitzed he would
be on his back. Also I feel a lot of people underestimate what it is like to stand across from a GOAT and the presence they have in the cage.GSP thrives in the limelight.
