I think he'd have finished Tony, he's a bigger guy and more experienced than Vannata is.

Thoughts?

If Chiesa gets your back its over

Would pick Tony tho

Chiesa wasn't going to throw a funky head kick or throw Ferguson off in general in the stand up.

Chiesa's best chance was always getting Ferguson's back in a scramble and cinching up a choke. I wouldn't have been surprised if he had pulled off the upset but I think he'd have had to walk through fire to do that.

I wouldn't bet on it. Chiesa is a good striker, but his main strengths are in his grappling. He doesn't throw strikes or avoid them as fluidly as Lando does. We've seen stranger things happen though.

I don't know. If it were to have gone to the ground, I think so. Once Chiesa gets working on a sub it's usually over.

Chiesa's striking is sloppy af, and his shot is strong enough to put Ferguson down.

Not the same fight at all. He never would have gone after Ferguson like that.

Chiesa is NOTHING like LANDO.

His striking is almost cringe-worthy. Great ground game.

Can't even compare the two fighters imo.

Not in this lifetime

Ferguson was caught off guard by a rookie that fights like Dillashaw with spinning back fists. He didnt know what he was facing, the only available fights to watch of Vannata are years old and he looked like an amateur in all of them. He still landed punches almost at will, barely missed anything he threw statistically. He would mop the floor with Vannata in a rematch.

Chiesa constantly wins when I think he's done for. Lauzon was the exception. I like his chances against Fergy.

I think Ferguson would have an easy time with Chiesa, but I also thought Dariush would, so what do I know.
