There are currently 11 championships in the company and it’d probably be a tight fit to get everyone on but you could brand it as the biggest event of the year and coordinate everyone’s fights around it. Do it around November in MSG and you have a sold out arena. Would it be a good idea for them to test it out and see how it does?

That would make WAY too much sense for Worst Management Ever (WME).

Better to fill cards with CM Punk and WMMA headliners.

No because they wouldn't be able to have a single PPV with a title fight for at least 3 month before and likely the same after the event.

Not to mention that would mean 5 or 6 title fights on the prelims and if by chance they all went the distance it would end up being a 6 plus hour event which would present issues for TV and stuff

Hell no. It would ruin every other card for 6 months. All for an extra 500,000 PPVs.

Plus 11 championship matches:
3 miss weight
4 pull out due to injury
2 get popped by USADA
2 go ahead as scheduled

Waste of time.

This. But it would be cool imo

like where you're going with this. since championship fights are 5 rounds it would make sense to break it up into 2 big cards a year.

I'd like to see a super card with 4 title fights on the PPV. All title fights on one would be overkill and bad business. Also, all real titles and no interim bullshit. This way it doesn't totally screw up the other PPVs, but still gives us exciting cards to look forward to.

Make certain PPVs seem special, like the Super Bowl "big game" one and the international fight week one. Or the November MSG one in NYC.

I think a point that comes up is that the champions don't defend their titles enough. It should be minimum 2 a year, outside of injuries. Try to get 3 if possible.

Also, the UFC has 12 champions. 8 men and 4 women. Did you forget women's 125 or 145?

as long as mighty mouse was on fightpass it could work

That’s called hotshotting and it FUCKS your business for the next year.

You do this once and what the FUCK do you book as headlines for the next year?

Also you’re putting on a prelim card with fucking championship matches.

And your fucking champs will take all your PPV money.

You can’t even do this for hundred numbered events.

Jesus, think this shit through.

And then your company dies.

Even desperate pro wrestling bookers wouldn’t do this. At most four champ matches and that would SCREW them for the next six months or year or just put them out of business.

Just fucking play this on your console.

Horrible stupid idea that a 13 year old would think up.

Would ruin it for a year because there are no fighting champs left in the UFC. They all sit on their hands waiting for ‘money’ fights.

A year fucked.

6 hour event is no problem for cable, WWE does 7 hours or more for WM.

This would however kill the UFC. They could make zero money on it and for a year following.

This is a dreadful idea. For reasons that you should have been able to figure out before creating the thread.

Sure, if there were only two PPV events per year.

11?

Stipe
Cormier
Whittaker
Woodley
Covington
Khabib (Tony?)
Max
TJ
DJ
Cyborg
Nunes
Montano
Rose

I count 13 current belts, 14 if you include Tony Ferguson.

That would somehow result in the creation of more interim belts.

Yeah, would be nice to see interim belts finally defended, and 4 more created after all of the cancelled fights that would happen.

At some point the amount of titles you have on the line will just flatline in terms of revenue/interest. In my opinion, having 4 titles on the line and having 11 is the same thing. Except now they've just exhausted their potential headline matchups for the rest of the year by putting it on one card.

Most fans don't even watch all the fights, usually just the maincard and some the midcard prelims.
