Worst casting choices in a movie

Amy Brenneman in Heat, worst casting worst scripting worst acting most unrealistic relationship ever committed to film, worst everything, my god she is atrocious

she wasn't actually that bad in NYPD Blue but she fucken stunk the house out in Heat

god yes, lol.
Prime Denise was so hot,
but her as a Nuclear Physicist???
Lmao
IMO it s not only hotness, it‘s elegance and sophistication. In contrast, women like Talisa Soto or Eva Green are not only hot, they are unique. Denise Richards looks like a random murrkan pinup. Hot sure but nothing else.

I hear you but these folks were mythological characters, don't think they were supposed to look like regular Greeks. Achilles is mentioned as having blonde/reddish hair in the Iliad.
It‘s not about hair colour but about features. Pitt could pull off the nordic or germanic or perhaps celtic mythology with ease. Not Greek or meditarenean mythology.

I'm shocked not one of you mentioned Maggie Gyllenhaal taking over the role of Rachel Dawes from Katie Holmes in the Dark Knight. Holmes was coming off her best performances ever in the Gift and Thank You For Smoking, and had a look (and rack) believable enough for me to think Bruce Wayne was into her.

Maggie is so unattractive that it almost pulls me out of the movie. It takes a suspension of disbelief for me to accept that Bruce Wayne is willing to give everything up for her and is jealous of her relationship with Harvey Dent. It hurts the film considerably. It's unfathomable.
then you got shocked for no reason.

I've said this over and over again but I'll say it again. Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachael Dawes in The Dark Knight. Great movie, awful casting.

Antonio Tarver in Rocky Balboa.

The Rocky movies always had charismatic villains (even if their charisma was mostly physical, like Drago). Not sure why they thought AT was the guy in that movie, he had zero personality.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. Alan Ritchson is the perfect choice. He’s big and imposing like the actual character is supposed to be, not some 5’7 pretty boy manlet.

Especially since Tom Cruise has this aura where people just have to like him. Reacher is supposed to be an asshole a lot of the time. If he still seems charming when he's treating everyday people like dirt, he's not being portrayed right.

Keanu Reeves in Dracula. Oldman was magnificent as Dracula, but Keanu’s bad acting drug the movie down.
...
Brad Pitt as Achilles in Troy. Great movie. It’s actually one of my favorites, but Brad Pitt was miscast. He’s portrayal of Achilles was cringy. This failure is comprehensive, so it's probably attributable to the producers, script and direction.

Hilarious thing Oldman was the miscast to me, awesome old-Dracula but very weak young-Dracula

Also i found Brad Pitt was perfect look wise for the role of Achilles. The acting itself was'nt stellar but it's not like others were pulling crazy performances either... Bloom worked just because you're supposed to hate Paris lol, and Sean Bean lacked the charisma to play Ulysses.
Imho most memorable one was Eric Bana as Hector

The Imp in GoT. He was a twisted twisted little monster in the books. His legs were so stubby he needed help getting on chairs and his head was so misshapen some thought he was half demon

Mark Waghberg in The Departed, his character is unnecessary if anyone seen the original HK version Infernal Affair.
I was engaged to a girl from taiwan at one point and she made me watch infernal affair. It was great. It was hard to improve on imo

Wasn't even a heavyweight or had the build to even pass as a heavyweight. He was hot at the time though. Antonio was a fine speaker though so that didn't hurt him but he didn't really measure up to the rest of the Rocky opponents.

Sophia Coppola was almost movie ruining in Godfather part 3. The only reason I can think of that he casted his daughter is Francis fucked her and did this to make up for all the incest. Still would have been the wrong move.
where do the wierd Coppola stories come from? Child molestor etc.., I never got that vibe off of him.
