I don't think it was intentional. It's just natural instinct to try to grab and break your fall .
Not sure if they made a difference in the long run, but I'm still gonna post it because Woodley still felt the need to cheat against a 40 year old BJJ guy that's built like a librarian in comparison to him and should be shamed for it

SHAME SHAME SHAME
I think there were 20+ takedown attempts, & Woodley stopped all of them (except 2) fair & square. Pretty damn impressive, I must say. Considering what a terror Maia has been to everyone else the last few years.
I still hate the 2 fence grabs. Mostly I'm pissed at Herb Dean though. He warned Woodley on the 1st one he would take a point if he did it again... then he did it again a few rounds later... no point deduction.
Refs have to get their shit together regarding fence grabs. Marc Goddard is the only one I've seen who doesn't fuck around.
he wouldn't have need 19 more attempts if he got the 2 takedowns einsteinlol the gif shows 2 fence grabs
what happened the other 19 times Demian attempted a TD?
Yes but it isn't natural instinct to drive drunk. Unless you are an absolute moronSo sick of this excuse. Intentional/unintentional it doesn't matter. If you break the rules you need to be punished for it.
If I hit someone while driving drunk it wasn't malicious but I still have to pay the consequences

Take even 2 points away from him, Woodley still wins lol

Even if they took 2 points Woodley still would have won and the fight still would have been a snoozer.
