That's kind of you to say.bruh
You're way, way, way too fucking clever and smart for that nonsense
But let's be real. It doesn't take a genius to see Sherdog has a race problem.

If every mma fight was like woodley vs maia, we'd all stop watchingI approve this message.

Fight Metric stats for Woodley vs Maia show Dana’s frustration

I don't think anyone, anywhere, is purporting that the fight was thrilling.
Its like inventing an argument no one is taking part in.
So let's avoid using bold adjectives like 'wrecked' to describe a fight that was the MMA form of a mind numbing sedative. It was more of a slow motion train wreck. I could understand the word being used that way.
I think what I wrote in context is balanced. He out classed him, which I also said - if you prefer that.
He had to defend TWENTY TWO spammed take down attempts, scored a big knockdown, and turned his opponents face into hamburger.
That all happened with complete impunity. It was a one-sided affair and only one guy left with his ass kicked and wore hater-blocker sunglasses at the press conference.
To be clear, I'm not a big fan of Woodley. I don't like his race baiting, or the constant complaining. Although, that might just be a ploy to keep his name in the news, in which case, you can blame the org for rewarding loud noises over meritocracy / sport.
Dude! He has a black eye, now I would agree it's a bad one but, it's a black eye. His face isn't that missed up. I agree Tyron tooled him but don't get stupid.Wrecked as in made his face unrecognizable with punches and dropped him like a sack of potatoes.
Are we living in some parallel universe where we are all going to pretend Tyron Woodley doesn't punch hard?
I don't personally equate wrecking with employing defensive measures. Woodley successfully controlled the fight but it was by no means in an exciting fashion by almost any objective standard.
His opponent was just as boring and there is no denying that. You could argue that Maia was at least making repeated offensive attempts despite none of it being meaningful.
Outside of that one big punch however it was a snoozefest. Woodley engages sporadically like a fighter who knows that he is carrying too much extra muscle mass which depletes his gas tank. It's pretty sad to see a high-level professional athlete ration his physical output so severely. If he doesn't get the KO you often end up with long periods of inactivity which are then sometimes described as "intelligent strategy." In reality he is really only camouflaging his weaknesses by necessity.
Key difference being neither really speaks much on "black issues."Obviously some do, but the overwhelmingly majority don't hate Woodley because he's black. Come on, you can't actually believe that. He's just not likeable. Dudes like Anderson and Rampage might get their fair share of shit on here, but overall people love those guys.
