Yes, its aligning yourself with famous people to make a name off them and bring attention to yourself in hopes of it being an opportunity for fame and fortune. Alot of groupies do that. Im pretty sure you have encountered this growing up almost everyone has, they used to be called Name Droppers. They woudl talk about all the famous or successful people they met like if they were friends
