Its not neal’s fault, wonderboy had the better defense and offense. Sure neal couldve shot for the takedown, but its easier said than done, shooting in exposes you to knees and punches and kicks.Hes got a difficult style to figure out but Neal walking forward doing fuck all would make anyone look like the goat striker.
none of those are examples of his striking?top 10 but no
got dropped by Matt Brown
got dropped by Till
got dropped by Woodley twice
got KTFO by Pettis
Even Pettis would admit that was a lucky punch after getting tooled the whole time. He was the epitome of a puncher's chance.Pettis slept him pretty bad.
Pettis slept him pretty bad.
Do you honestly believe that?uses cage to leverage his punch after being systematically destroyed for 13 minutes for a surprise KO win
I like Showtime, but that was the definition of a fluke KO. Wonderboy was absolutely dominating that fight and would likely beat Showtime 99/100 times. Exaggerating a bit obviously, but Wonderboy is clearly the better striker and overall fighter.Pettis slept him pretty bad.
I’d say that’s a pretty solid overall list.Top 5 is like
- Silva
- Izzy
- Cro Cop
- WB
- McGregor? (Don't kill me)
Who is then?not the best. but hes up there
none of those are examples of his striking?
You mean like when he won via TKO or KO his first 5/8 fights in the ufc? Or when he absolutely put on a striking masterclass against two upcoming beasts in Neal and Luque in his last 2 fights? His movement is excellent and his arsenal of kicks is impressive... But he has not finished anyone since 2016.
Call me crazy, "best striker in UFC history" should have some actual KOs or TKOs on his record.
