Wonderboy and Rory at the post fight presser

With so many fights lately that have had tremendous amounts of animosity, it was nice to see these two competitors show so much mutual respect after the fight. Don't know if anyone else saw but after the press conference ended Thompson went over to Rory and gave him a hug and they shared some words. It was just nice to see a high level of sportsmanship after such a big fight.

Honestly, not to downplay your point because it is a good point and valid, but look at who we're talking about here. You've got two guys who have always been polite and good sportsman. Recently we've had a lot of fights with guys that have been known as much for their mouths as their skills. I expect sportsmanship like this when I see two guys like Rory and Wonderboy. Good stuff.

Rory once said they have trained at the same gym but they never sparred. Didn't sound like he really knew him either. Maybe guys in the same weight div don't (to not give away each others secrets??)
