what would anyone do with a stolen dog? aren't all those micro-chipped anyway, therefore traceable?

sadly some of these types of thefts are for dog fighting rings
basically scooping up dogs to be thrown to the slaughter in order to train the fighting dogs

Technically the dog owner willingly jumped on the vehicle. Also, the dog thief wasn't the driver.
