What’s with the constant yelping when striking? Noticed a lot of wmma strikers do this.

2 awful fights Back to Back

I hope the UFC take note.

Don't put 2 wmma fight in a row

And they're not even connecting either. This card has been such a snoozefest man...And I never complain about cards and I like WMMA too. Smh!

120 sig strikes thrown by Chookagian.... 20 landed. lol

Its not just wmma..but its more noticable for some reason..you should be exhaling during striking and that can be done through..yelps/grunts or hollys essh..but most common just a ssss sound .. everybodys different..

It's called a Kiai and pretty much all fighters do it, but instead of the sounds they just use breathing.

the shout can keep them aggressive and it can disract their opponent

Should take a point for that shit

Just turned it on literally 2 sec ago, lemme guess.......Im missing some "high-level" premium MMA fighting right?

Background nonsense right now

I get that. I’ve done some striking myself but this is over the top.

Yeah i dunno why its more noticeable with wmma ..ive been training for a long time and i do the occasional kiai or grunt while striking .. but mostly just a ssss exhale.. its a habitual thing that i guess there coaches dont correct them?

I really think it's because women are far less aggressive than men, they need to keep up the loud kiai to keep themselves moving forward.
