Holm is so overrated it's not even funny. She has good defensive footwork and that's about it. Really slow hands. She has powerful kicks but she telegraphs every single one of them. I will forever treasure the moment she knocked out Rotunda Rousey but she's pretty bad. Which of course, makes Rousey substantially worse.

She also punches and kicks a lot of air, almost like she has terrible depth perception.

Great person though, just not a great fighter.

WMMA is evolving but it has a long way to go. Many fighters are still basically one dimensional. This can lead to very conservative strategies trying to avoid the other fighter's strengths (e.g. Holm in the Tate fight). But I think we are in the process of moving to more rounded and more aggressive fighters.

Of course the men are more skilled, there are more man competing than woman, and for a longer time. But I have no idea what do you mean with 'terrible', there are a lot of upsets, lot of exciting matchups, and also there are lot of fighters with good technique there.

Before bashing WMMA, let's not forget that Michael Bisping is a champion and 'MMA is the best its ever been right now'. Bisping isn't particularly skilled in anything, and YES, there are women with better striking/ground skills than him.
