Holm is so overrated it's not even funny. She has good defensive footwork and that's about it. Really slow hands. She has powerful kicks but she telegraphs every single one of them. She also punches and kicks a lot of air, almost like she has terrible depth perception.

Great person though, just not a great fighter.

Women's MMA is about where Men's MMA was in the early 00's. The question is what is the ceiling for WMMA? Women athletes will never compete at the same level men do, so if you're judging them side by side, WMMA will always be mediocre in comparison. But you are starting to see that evolutionary cycle that happens every generation within MMA happen quicker in WMMA.

Well, I liked the fight. It was a technical duel between two high level strikers. Reminded me of Shogun/Machida 1 a little bit. Not quite THAT high level but still very good. Valentina was impressive

It's impossible to have an adult conversation with anyone who thinks wmma doesn't suck. Hopefully one day it will be awesome but as of right now it sucks. No amount of progressiveness and virtue signalling will change that.
