Montenegro is the fighter that got signed off of DWCS even though she lost a close split decision. Man looking at her record I doubt she’s ready for the big show.

Kareckaite also went to a split decision on DWCS and both her and her opponent got signed.

But yes, Montenegro vs Chaves was definitely one of the biggest highlights of last season.

Yeah, you wanna feel for her, but it’s just a weird situation. Her husband (who she still swears is just her coach) has complete control over her, and he’s the main cause of her issues. Literally no promoter in Japan will work with her anymore. Even Shigeru Saaki of Deep, who gave her more chances than anyone.

Now, I have no idea if she’s actually fighting for free on this or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me
