Ruff night for Loma, her grappling didn't look that bad she worked out of some bad spots but Alexia showed so many unique and creative takedowns it'd be hard for anyone to stop. Alexia got alot of potential here.

Montague on the other hand showed some of the least creative takedowns and was successful because of farm strength vs a career flyweight with questionable tdd. Not sure how far she gets in BW.

Also Loma is small and kinda chubby, Alexia is very athletic.

Montague's striking looked absolutely awful. When she'll face a big girl like her with decent TDD it will be a rough night.
 
I know Pereira hype died and she looked terrible on the UFC stage but I thought her manager had alot of interesting points here that she could recover from that. Mostly now how being in ufc will allow her better training and resources in the PI and how other women from that team showed exponential growth after bad ufc starts. Hopefully she's hungry enough to do the work he thinks she's capable of for her 2026 fight.

Both those rankings seem like good choices to me you beat a ranked fighter you should take there place. And Fernandez has has a win over a ranked flyweight as well makes more sense than Carolina ever did.

Who would have put in?
 
Hard to care about the wmma last night but I'll recap some thoughts anyway.
Brogan looked there for a paycheck as you can get, her coaches told her what to do the announcers were harping on her all fight for a td attempt. 0-3 surely she won't be called in as fodder again.

Macy had a similar path to victory although Yana is much better at tdd and winning in the clinch is her specialty. Showing up overweight and underprepared Macy just isn't professional enough to get to the top of BW.

After Russian Ronda's last fight. I can't even imagine myself picking her in any possible situation.
She made me remember those old school guys that were bjj black belts but decided to "stand and bang" all fight because yeah lol
Mesquita probably subs her.
I seriously can't understand why Polastri is favored against KK besides age.
I can see KK pulling an upset tbh.
