She moved side to side a lot and Pacheco had trouble cutting off the cage on her. She nearly got a strange leg lock submission but Pacheco escaped it. She was out struck and they both tired in later rounds. The only round for her on the scorecards was the fifth and final round, where Pacheco was avoiding risk to secure the victory.
 
Dee Begley with a quick turnaround after fighting at Invicta a few weeks ago

The Russian girl got a hell of a chin, Larissa went hard round one for the ko, and ended the round gnd her head into the matt. She also snuck in enough td and submission attempts to make it interesting even if it was one sided beating.

Similar to Ladd kept the fight interesting fighting out of Kayla control and just winging hard punches.


I really hope we see Cyborg fight both. If the PFL president is right. Maybe Kayla fights McMann,cat or blencowe... I'd say McCourt but I think they want to protect her.

A thought I had given Jake Paul's connections Larissa vs Serrano in boxing, while Kayla vs cyborg happens.

Serrano is the featherweight (125 lb) champ in boxing. Wouldn't that be a total size mismatch? I don't follow boxing hardly at all, so maybe I'm missing something. I do know Serranos last mma fight way back when was actually at 115.
 
I thought both Harrison & Pacheco looked like they’d be a fun fight for Cyborg tonight. Kayla has the best takedowns in women’s mma right now in my opinion. Her style is really reminiscent of Karo Parysians, not so much Rondas. I don’t think she leaves PFL/Bellator now, but I suppose we’ll see. I would not mind her vs McCourt, otherwise only Sara Collins is on a win streak. Personally I’d prefer the Larissa fight to a Harrison/Cyborg fight. Cyborg has a chin so it would be interesting to see this later career version of Larissa face someone that can exchange with her.

Marina imo doesn’t really get the credit she deserves for improving. She by no means perfect but she is not the same fighter that lost to Harding & Jojua. Her Sambo has been much better adapted to MMA at this stage & she is tough as all hell.

If Larissa were to box, it’d probably be Shadasia Green, Claressa Shields or Savannah Marshall. I don’t think it’s in Larissa’s best interests to box right now, the cyborg fight is the biggest one for her.

They were going back and forth on Twitter a couple weeks ago. Cyborg said Shields should move down in weight, since she’d be giving up an experience advantage. Then a day or two later, it was announced that Cyborg would be boxing a 2-0 fighter at 155lbs :rolleyes:

Meanwhile, Cyborg keeps calling for a Katie Taylor (135 and 140 champ) fight, because there isn’t a 135lber born that Cyborg won’t call out

Serrano fought for the 135 title and looked good. She's the professional boxer here going to 145 vs a 0-0 MMA fighter makes it even imo.

I blame Marc Goddard for stopping the Cyborg vs. Nunes fight early.
Mario Yamasaki would've let Amanda do a proper attitude adjustment on Cyborg, either that or turn her into a vegetable.
 
I am mostly out of the loop so if I am missing something please correct me but how much of a protege can she be? It seems like people throw around the word protege a lot. Valentina is a nomad and is never in one place for an extended amount of time. She does not even stay in Kyrgyzstan much. If I were to guess they just train together when Valentina stops by Kyrgyzstan and its not much more than that.
