Apparently this is at a 130lb catchweight, although winner will, fight for a title. I’m guessing 125. That’s how Alvarez explained it to me. Not a fan of this matchup right now. Apparently the girl Alvarez was originally supposed to face wouldn’t be ready. Szabova is Okatgon’s homegrown fighter, so this feels like a sacrifice

Classic JMMA “pretty girls” fight. Only real purpose it serves

Dear UFC

"Your single purpose on this Earth is to serve people fights that they might actually like, and you have failed. You've failed. And you've bored me."

RIP Mariam 😭
The two surviving members of the Georgian Cute Cans squad will soldier on taking beatings in your memory

Speaking of Andrea Lee, what happened to her? She seemed to have a ton of potential early on and then seemed to stall out. Oh my, it's worse than I thought. She is on a 5 fight losing streak. Before that she won 2 in a row and after losing 3 in a row.

ONE 167
Denice Zamboanga vs. Noelle Grandjean – MMA. Zamboanga cruised pas Grandjean. Nearly submitted her in the first and outclassed her on the feet and ground. Denice "The Menace" has now won three straight.
Itsuki Hirata vs. Victória Souza – Souza submitted Hirata with a guilloting choke a couple minutes into round one.

UFC Fight Night
Andrea Lee vs. Montana De La Rosa. Good scrap. They both went at it pretty hard and Montana got the third round and the decision.
Eduarda Moura vs. Denise Gomes. Gomes won all three rounds handily and survived a scare as one judge scored it for Moura.
Puja Tomar vs. Rayanne Amanda. Puja Tomar won by split and became the first woman from India to win in the UFC.

Knowing Yoder’s luck, she’ll be matched up with a Black House fighter (Ed Soares, notable manager of Anderson Silva, and head of Black House, is also the promoter of LFA. Getting matched against a Black House fighter means you’re being set up to build someone else’s name).

What's this then?

PFL (today!!! don't 4get, 4olkz)
DITCHEVA over Hackett: it could be a bit interesting because Hackett comes from a decent striking base while most of Dakota's opponents to date have been generic MMA fighters with a grappling lean, so we'll see if she's as dominant in this fight (or isn't at all...)
VELASQUEZ over Mauldin: although Velasquez is past it and Mauldin trains with the GOAT.
JOANNE over Young: *shrug*
BISHOP over Santos: I have to pick a random upset somewhere. Bishop is a good grappler and I like grapplers so, uh.... she does have better takedowns than Blanchfield I guess
CARMOUCHE over Kana: I'm a Kana stan-a and want her for my waifu but unfortunately she still blocks everything with her face, last time against Liz this resulted in a ~10 second KO via broken orbital floor, hard to imagine it won't go the same way (but hopefully no broken waifu face this time plz, Liz)

UFC:
KNUTSSON over Polastri: I like them both... Knutsson is more refined especially on the feet.
FERNANDES over Judice: Judice is too green for the UFC, Dana kind of did her a disservice signing her at this stage just because he liked her Cantender's fight IMO (which she lost, and was only there for as a late replacement). Fernandes is a decent striker, I've thought of her as being 'Natalia Silva without the takedown defence' which is probably a bit generous; still, UFC did give her the worst possible debuts in the two grindingest grapplers in her division for her first two fights, now she has a better stylistic matchup she should comfortably get her first UFC W.
