(come to think of it, doesn't UFC matchmaking actually 'work' like this?)

Given how badly 145 failed, it does not appear to work much at all.

Unrelated, Spanish Atomweight Andrea Meneses decided to visit the U.S. and Goat Shed for training (why Goat Shed of all places, I’ll probably never understand). Anyway, Jade Jorand, on the right, is also supposed to be an Atomweight. Something tells me she’s grown out of the division

Not mma, but of interest:

Hey folks. When you get a chance watch this atomweight Muay Thai fight that just occurred on ONE.
115: Junior Fairtex vs. Angela Chang (MT)
I had trouble lining it up to the exact starting point. It's about 48 minutes into the card, if I'm reading it correctly. Love these Muay Thai battles!

Angela runs the "Muay Ying" fb and instagram accounts, she's been very helpful following the Thai lady fighting scene over the past several years.

Fatima Kline is very good
I don't like her hairstyle though
<{1-8}>
If she fully shaved it off though I think she could rock the 'Ripley' better than Thug Rose or even Ripley herself

UFC should also sign 'Thug' Katharina Dalisda along with Kline forthwith (no need to put them in Candenter's or something, just get the talent already ffs)
<{1-14}>
(also Oktagon has by far the best ring girls in the biz right now)

watch as they make them fight each other on DWCS though, or separately but don't sign either because Dalisda didn't finish her opponent and Kline 'still needs more time' or some bs (then both get shitcontracts as short-notice replacements within a couple of months anyway)

I wouldn’t mind Kline on DWCS. I hate the show, but it really helps to build up a fighter’s name. When they make their UFC debut, they already have a name, and a story the commentators can use.

One thing I don’t like after Kline’s last fight is the narrative that there’s nobody on the regional scene who can compete with her, when the truth is she’s not even facing good comp on the regional scene. The flyweight title bout was a short notice girl who couldn’t make Strawweight in time, and last night’s fight was a girl coming off a loss. I’m all for praising her skill, but acting like she’s a world beater when she’s not facing world level comp is a bit much.

Do you know if there is any difference between (average) starting salary for those who come up the DWCS route vs. straight signings?
