I been saying that for the longest. I can't think of one WMMA fighter who looked good from that place outside of Roxy. Even the not good ones you can't see any area where they have clearly improved at.
 
Well, shit. And on many levels. My Amazon Fire Stick (never buy one of those) went on the fritz as Lemos was walking out. I fought with it for a bit, then decided to watch the rest on my iPad. Tuned in to see Lemos celebrating. The icing on the cake is seeing that it was a questionable stoppage. I feel bad for Rodriguez.

Yes, I think of those two very much together.

Since everyone seems to have forgotten, Lemos actually did test positive for 'proper' roids and was banned for 2 years after her UFC debut (which was short notice IIRC - they always catch them 'fresh of the boat' when they're not ready yet). Hate seeing this shit especially to someone like Marina who was as deserving of a title fight as it gets and as good and respectful a sportswoman as it gets too.

At least Maverick saved me from being even more bummed. :) And I had a winey dinnery with a 100-year old geezer telling stories about war vs. the Soviet Union. So UFC is quite meaningless in the big picture of last night :) And I bought a cool boardgame about commanding german U-Boats in the later stages of WW2.

Speaking of geezer level ages, I guess Frey is now somewhere in the Danny Glover phase of her career :( Frey's a fave, will be a bummer when she's eventually out of the game due to age.

Don't forget all the money you didn't make because you changed your mind about Vidal.

Other thoughts tonight:
Happy to see 2x women POTN, both well earned lemons as a pretty big underdog had a case too.

Vidal didn't look as terrible as was advertised in this thread she can probably alternate w and l at the bottom of bw/fw in the UFC right now.
Viana looked amazing hard to believe that is the same fighter who lost to cifers and Macedo. One of the few clean wmma sw punching ko's.
Maverick looked off to start her fight doing terrible strikes and shots, luckily late in the first she remembered how to fight. By the second and third she was obviously dominant in the wrestling but her striking was 10x better too winning easily unfortunately she missed the finish in this tune up fight.

Rodriguez played with fire and got burned. She never should have take this stay busy fight with a power puncher like lemons. 1st was boring but marina stole it with a tdd reverse, 2nd marina poor tdd reared it's head on a great shot from lemons for a boring lnp round, and third worst case scenario happened Lemons landed the bomb.
On the stoppage I never like a standing tko in mma, but Rodriguez was reacting as bad as humanly possible for someone to keep fighting, I always say ref should let them drop before stop doubt that gets us anything but more unanswered shots tho.

Puts sw back in the no contender area, dc can say lemons all he wants but getting stopped r1 by Andrade recently means that isn't her.
Andrade also took a foolish stay busy fly fight or she could be next. Yan maybe since her Rodriguez loss was questionable.
Everything seems to be in alignment for Rose to swoop in on clout alone and return vs champion.
