Pulling for Chook. Manon has some weird fanboys out there, despite turning in lackluster decisions once she started facing legit comp.
Leto in 'hoping the popular new up-and-comer loses' shocker
I think Manon is going to win. Ppl say Chook is the decisionmeister and that's true but it's also true most fans and media scored pretty much all of those wins (vs the better opponents at least) the other way (whilst things were always close enough for no-one to get mad at the decisions and call her wins 'questionable', like they do with the Great One for some reason). That does imply a fair dose of luck too, not just 'pointsfighting mastery'. Why I think it will be different this time is Manon's physicality, aggression, and kickiness will score more points with the judges when she shakes and vibrates the Chook with her blows, than usually happens in Chook's soft sparring contests. (also I've never been a 'Chook Hater' before but I'm kind of fed up of her still hanging around all of a sudden for some reason)
Since this potentially makes me a weird fanboy I'll embrace that role fully and say Fiorot will then go on to destroy Shev (who is clearly now washed up, past her prime, and possibly was never that good, after her last performance) and usher in a new era of high-fashion tracksuit-wearing to the WSW division
(at least, until it's time for Grasso to KO her).
Also! What's this about Chook not flying out until the last minute, and then this 'model professional' missing weight for the first time ever?
Shall I put on my Conspiretard hat and suggest she's not even
trying because the UFC only resigned her if she agreed to put Manon over?
(or more reasonably: perhaps she has an injury...)
