With his insane cardio, why isnt Cain ripped?

lol, the personal trainers/ workout-minded people on here are up in arms because they've been going around telling people "you can be anything you want to be, blah blah blah..." but now we added "... with the cooperation of your genes"

I would even bet that Cain can never be shredded like Bader without PED's.

If you look at it, being shredded is pretty unnatural unless you live in the tropics where you need to lose heat. Look at the bushmen, now those are naturally shredded people.

Being shredded in a cold place is a death sentence. A healthy person there gotta have some fat on them.

they're a vague description of a relative body type, and they are still used by real science when describing bodytypes. A lot of Darwins theory of evolution was wrong as well, but that does not mean that evolution is not real. We simply keep learning more about it.

Nothing more than descriptions. 10 years ago I was a 250 pound fat ass slob (5'11) and now I look like the well built mesomorph.

Just call people short/tall/fat/skinny etc, somatotypes implies you're stuck where you are and can't change, which is BS.

Cain definitely cuts weight. This is his before he has started any weight cut, he's fucking huge. You wouldn't think that's the best HW in the world because of his body, he just looks like a chubby guy, then you see him fight.. it's kinda like Fedor. He's just a chubby dude who doesn't look in the greatest shape but he fucks you up.

His body is used to working with what he has. This is a guy that wrestled 285lb guys in college.

Are you saying that there are no recent studies that proves that there are genetically differences between people which has impact on weight and how the body looks. I just want to make sure that is what you are saying, before I dig up sources.

I am a sceptic by heart. One of my favorite podcasts is Brian Dunning - Skeptoid. I spend hours online debunking stuff. I have no golden cow and I would not be saying these things if I could not back it up by scientific evidence.
 
Because he DOESN'T cut weight, he doesn't have to diet. It isn't weighlifting and cardio that show off the biggest muscles, it's diet. He may eat somewhat healthy, he may not; I have no idea. But as big as he is and as much as we've seen him without gassing, that'd be my only idea.

Indeed it is stereotypes. Which I explained earlier when I said it was nothing more than categories. We are debating whether or not genetics are the reason Cain looks the way he looks.

It's this + genetics. JDS doesn't diet or cut weight either and he shows up with a 6-pack. Some guys like Cain and Fedor carry a decent amount of fat when they are at their athletic peak.

People who have watched MMA should know that having fat on you is an advantage: it really gives you better cardio. Guys with huge muscled chests and ripped abs tend to gas quite quickly.

Physique =/= cardio. It's just that with every day people, fat people are generally lazy so they have little cardio and people who get ripped work out so they have more cardio. When it comes to professional athletes, it's a different story. Muscles require more oxygen, so ripped people tend to gas faster due to expending more oxygen when they do things.

Cain doesnt cut any weight before fights, he has solid strength and really good cardio, so why isnt he more ripped?

I'm sure since hes a fighter, he's on a pretty strict diet.

I mean no homo, outside of the Hunt, Nelson, DC, he probably has the worst physique of the quality HWs

his cardio might be good but to get ripped you need to do more resistance training than cardio

go online, have a look about how bodyfat relates to muscle definition and how bodyfat relates to genetics and diet and maybe you wont have to post idiotic threads which can be answered with a quick google search and a 15 minuet read.

You'd have to have a massive amount of muscle for that to happen. More then any UFC fighter. Otherwise, strong and muscular people actually gas LESS easily because a strong muscle doesn't fatigue as easily as a weak one does.

The reason a ripped muscular person would gas easily is simply because he doesn't have very good conditioning.
