Seriously what a bunch of dipshxts oh don't worry it's perfectly safe to vote but we will stay home. If Trump tells everyone to go back to work the Senate best be in their seats.

Wisconsin is likely the more visible one because of the force to vote BS but it will happen no doubt in dipshxts 'Republican controlled' other states.

Don't worry it's perfectly safe it's the flu.

The Republicans want people to go out and vote because they know most people, especially Democrat demographics, won't go out and vote in this current situation. The Democratic heavy urban centers like Milwaukee are the hardest hit , so people are going to be wary of getting on public transport and going into polling centers where everyone is too close , interacting with the same voting center staff.

Republicans ,generally speaking, trying to make voting as hard as they can get away with, because when voting is convenient there is a greater Democratic turnout.

Republicans continue to show us what absolute human trash bins they really are. Have we ever seen a more morally bankruptcy and blatantly criminal group than republicans. They can get away with it because republicans have no morals, no decency standards and the lower they go the more their supporters love them.

In this thread were going to pretend Democrats wouldn't do the same thing if positions were reversed and were all going to be outraged.

Huh? The article talks about state senate possibly using virtual vote for legislative matters. As well, as other public operations.

I didn't see anything about public votes in the article? Are you tying this to something else? Doesn't the state offices of the DNC handle their primary voting protocols? Or is this about the GE? Because, again...public voting wasn't mentioned in that article..

Tie in to the GE is that the state legislature refused to enact any sort of protective protocols, which is what led the governor to take the steps he did. The gov lost because he was going around the state legislature. It is their responsibility and within their power to enact any changes to the election protocols.

So when the state legislators could have done something to protect the general population, they just ignored it. But when it comes to themselves, they're much more safety focused.

VR voting would be cool. Stand in a 3D line and booth all that. Amazing tech.

Is there a big risk of state legislators casting fake ballots in state senate votes? Are there big privacy concerns with state senators votes being leaked?

See, TS should add in the supplemental article to the GE story

I think this sums it up.

"

And you should've provided the article about state legislature vetoing proxy voting in the GE

I think Congress should lead by example and go back to work in person before we open the country back up.

Wisconsin is a great example of a place that has been ruined by republicans. Theyre doing everything in their power to get rid of democracy.

McConnell is big on senate having to be physically present. One of the things that slowed down the first relief bill was a few Republicans were quarantined and he didn’t want to allow a way for them to vote outside of the chamber.

There is a pretty clear difference of having a legislative body vote remotely and a state do it. The logistics are far larger and more needs to be considered.

They should delay the election or come up with an alternative like mail ins. You can’t just ask people to physically show up if this isn’t fixed by that time.

The GOP would be at a massive disadvantage if virtual voting ever became a thing because that would significantly increase under 45 turnout.

Yeah, this seems like a lot of outrage over an obvious apples and oranges type of comparison. One type of voting does not have hidden ballots. If you were to fraudulently change the vote of John Q. Asshole (R), he'd notice and make something of it. But if you were to fraudulently change thousands or even millions of secret ballots, how would anyone know?
