Seriously, what's the dealio yo, yo?

Is he putting it off as long as possible cause he knows every option he has is awful and doesn't want to look bad until later?

Usually the VP is picked just before the convention. At least I think that is how it works.

I wonder if it will actually be Chris Christie. I think Christie was a good governor

His VP should be Milo.

If possible he should pick a women. She would cancel out the accusations of sexism and also force Hillary to do the same.

Forget this thread I made a better one

He knows (just like everyone else should know by now) that he's not getting elected.

Only Hillary can promise us a bright future full of abortions, illegal immigration, and sharia law!

Is there a deadline to pick one?

I think he'll wait until the last second, because he doesn't want to take the attention off of himself.

My thoughts exactly

No, she can not name Bill, under the 22nd amendment - he is ineligible

I thought it only prevented him from being president

If she got dead he would be skipped to third in line : Speaker of the House of Representatives

It's constitutionally untested and you vote a vp as a possible successor, so what's the point of a veep that can't be president?

No point really, just saying it could be done I think

But people would have to know who the speaker of the house is as they would be the real vice president in terms of line of succession

It could be romantic is all

So, effectively if she nominates Bill - the speaker Paul Ryan - a republican would be the next in line - and that would help Hillary's cause?

That would be obvious pandering... I hope he does not do that.

Is Hilary allowed to name Clinton

Would that help her?

Yes, she could. But he is from the same state... if the election is close, the Senate picked the VP.

Read this... and if Cheny did not switch his State from Texas to Wyoming, then he may not have been the VP the day after the 2000 election. Odd...

This is the basis for the nominee to pick a VP running mate from a different srate.

Why hasn't hillary named hers?
She's not the nominee yet, and it's probably a little too far out from the convention anyhow. Trump is probably going to wait until a couple weeks out from the R convention, but who knows with that guy. It's pretty standard to name your VP pick about a week out, more or less. Mid July is expected, Trump a few days ahead of Hillary (R convention is a few days sooner) if it follows custom.
