I could see Russians with PR status in the US or other countries being okay, but Russians residing in Russia, or on temp visas, having issues. With the UFC not really being able to do much about it.

Mass canceling visas would be a pretty extreme step. If I had to bet on it I would say Russia will attempt to restrict their own citizens travel before the US issues a blanket denial of Russian citizens, unless we end up in a shooting war against them.

Except most Americans were against the invasion of Afghanistan. Putin is widely popular in Russia and have largely supported his agenda. This invasion isnt the first time either. The initial invasion lf Ukraine 2014, the 2008 invasion of Georgia. Experts believe Moldova could be next. Theyre threatening Finland and Sweden for considering joining NATO. They recently intervened in Anti russia protests in Kazakhstan. And largely the Russian populace has backed it.

Yeah and nobody ever answered from the leadership for all the invasionsband destabilization of other countries.

Its funny how most Americans seem to think they have any moral high ground after theirbhovernment bombed hundreds of thousands of people into the stone age just in the last 30 years.

Everything that is happening now is the result of a weak Europe that is incapable to have their own security politics and played to the american fiddle for far too long. what was everybody expecting? That a country that is still run by power politics will just look how their geopolitical rival builds more and more bases around them ignoring every warning?

The argument that American fighters weren't punished in the Iraq or Afghanistan wars are pretty stupid.

I'm pretty sure not a single American fighter was offered a single fight in Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other nation that strongly opposed the US in those instances.

So actually, it's EXACTLY THE SAME, but people are getting upset because this time, the countries that are siding with Ukraine matter when they take these actions.

There is no difference, and if there WAS a difference, it certainly wasn't imposed on any country wishing to sanction the US and it's citizens.

I'd guess not, but only because it's not a serious sport.

It's more in the entertainment category, not run by anyone with any sort of moral authority.

Makes sense when you play in a sport that officially represents a country (fifa banning russia from competition and shit like that) even if it’s unfair to the actual athletes but at least they should be able to go back to play to their clubs.

But fighters fight for themselves so it would be unfair and ridiculous especially considering a lot of public figures in russia are afraid to speak against Putin in public for obvious reasons. No one wants to “accidentally” fall off a 40 story building.
