I think it is very possible with all things considered if she doesn't go back and fight Cyborg and Holm. She fought Tate twice and already beat her twice, and should fight her again as well but she ducked Cyborg relentlessly after saying she'd fight Carano at the higher weight. Worst thing I've seen any belt holder say in UFC history.

She gets killed by Holm, and she folds mentally like a house of cards and doesn't want to fight anyone anymore other than Tate it seems. She realizes that the wolves all smell blood now, and after one loss it seems like she has lost all confidence. That is not a true champion to me personally. She never dealt with any true adversity as a martial artist in her career until she fought Holm, and now that it happens she can't even handle the loss at all.

She needs to fight Cyborg. People forget all of the crap she talked about her for years.

If RR only wants to come back to fight Tate, I don't think she should get the opportunity. The UFC should make her fight Cyborg and then Holm first.

The fact that Holm and Tate and Cyborg have all been game to fight anyone this entire time speaks volumes about the lack of respect that fans will eventually have for RR if she does not at least try to redeem herself.

If she goes down as the worst women's champ, what does that make Meisha, who lost to Rousey twice?

7 title defenses, pop culture mega star, single handedly brought wmma into the ufc...

She'll probably go down as the GOAT

As awful as she is as a person and arrogant she was as an overhyped fighter; I'm not sure you can say she was the worst champion ever because she got beat down once.

You guys are missing the point.

Tate was a warrior that was willing to fight everyone all the time.

RR may have been the best fighter in an era when most women were still learning the basics of the sport, but it was to easy for her. The true test for any fighter is how they deal with adversity. So far it looks like RR wants no part of adversity ever again, and just wants the cheap road.

When people look back at the state of the women's division when RR dominated, and consider how she completely fizzled after just one bad loss, it will diminish her legacy to some degree. Now I realize she still has time to fight a few more fights and all, but if she just walks away because she got her ass kicked and runs from Holm the way she has with Cyborg for years a lot of us will not consider her a "true champion". I'm sure that there will be other women champions by then that will have shown a lot more courage and willingness to be the best ever as well. That is why I said 5 to 10 years from now.

I'm sure that most people never thought that Fedor's legacy would be questioned as badly as it is in the early Pride days either. No one knew at that time though that Fedor was going to pack it in just to fight freak shows for the last 5 years of his career.

No, just a delusional joke and a lesson for up and coming fighters, don't buy your own hype and don't believe your own bullshit.

Ronda is a terrible human being but no, obviously not.

If her brain isn't fried she could probably just come back and win the title again too, as much as it pains me to say.

Refusing to move up in weight is the worst you've seen someone say? Look at GSP. He never moved up. Jones still hasn't moved up. MM is uninterested in moving up. More people don't move up than do. It's ridiculous to say the UFC should force her to fight Cyborg. They've never forced a successful fighter to move up.

I do think it's weak that she seems to be running from the sport after one loss.

Even if you don't like Ronda, to discount what she has accomplished in MMA like that. SMH

She got beat down by Holly, but literally mauled everyone else she's ever come in contact with.

I don't care for RR much as a person, but I don't hate her at all. In fact, her mean personality created a lot of allure for her fights which makes her an interesting character.

I'm talking purely about quitting the moment you can't dominate someone with your arm bar. I'm basing the question of the thread purely on "if" she continues to not have any interest in fighting the best of the best fighters in the world.

If Cyborg, Tate, and Holm all continue to battle one another in the next few years and RR just tries to fight only Tate how in the hell can we call her the best fighter ever??? She would be the most disappointing fighter ever in my eyes personally.

I think that is what makes the sport so great is that a great dominant fighter can up and lose one day to someone with a great style, and to watch how they bounce back is the amazing thing to see and watch. Hell, even Anderson Silva is still fighting guys right now after the leg injury and getting embarrassed by Bisping. He is still trying at least.

Shes far and away the best and most dominant woman's champ of all time right now. so no.
