Will Badr Hari ever win a fight again?

Last night, Mamdouh Elssbiay of Egypt. :))

I was supporting him lately because he is part of the old guard, but what a quitting loser. What was his excuse for quitting this time?

A broken nose in two pieces, and also his broken arm.

Re-watched the fight. Badr looked tired at the end of the first round.

I don't understand people like you. Have you trained in full combat sports, especially kick-boxing? It is not good surroundings. It does not attract only good guys. Combat sports, practitioners, gym owners and promoters are ridden with thugs, organised crime and street gangs. Prize fighters on average are not the honourable, quiet warriors like we were raised to see in Hollywood movies. Not every athlete is GSP.

So why is everybody surprised when prize fighters do shit that us, normal people, would not do? Seriously this is embarrassing.

I am actively training for 3 years now in kickboxing. In my gym there are good people and also some shady people. We never talk much about our private life. I don`t know what are the other guys doing in their private life. I know that some people had official complaints registered against them but as far as I know, nobody went to prison. What Badr did however is on another level. He is a serial offender and, what strikes most, is his arrogance in the ring and outside the ring. You see, it happens to be that we may have thugs as partners, but after a while you get to know each other at some level and the relation becomes amicable. That is not the situation with Badr. He never matured. I mean Gerges was related to drug trafficking but except his recent tantrum against Rico, he seemed quiet (the right thing to do). He is a matured thug.

Ah, and one more thing. Not every professional fighter is a thug! Look at Valtellini (a school teacher for disabled kids I think), Bonjasky (model, bank employee), CroCop (Croatian police), Vakhitov (Violin player) and so on. Yes, martial arts tends to attract more bad people but calling them out when they misbehave is not a mistake. It is simply the right thing to do because we should not just "accept" them as they are. They should change to behave in a civilized manner, not the rest -the majority- by closing an eye on them.

He broke his arm too??
It"s not confirmed, but it was once again also his arm. The body shot is actually an arm damage. Benny might have broken it. Anyway, they said KO, not TKO. It was a combination in fact of a broken nose (Rudmann said in 2 pieces) and the damaged arm. He gave up...

For me it was a TKO by retirement from heavy beating, but because Badr was counted and chose to stay down then they said KO. Just that in my opinion his arm was also damaged like the nose...

Gerges is a liar, he is like a psychopat. Sure, he ran from a conviction but he has been always saying he is religious. Egyptian Coptic if I"m not wrong. He also has a nice wife, I simply don"t understand him, had enough money to avoid the mobsters...

I agree Gerges wife is hot.

Badr is very unreliable. He was kicking major ass in the last 2 Rico fights before getting unlucky twice. In fact, in the remacth he was beating the fuckin shit out of Rico before that failed cartwheel stuff.

In that last fight this W-E it looked like he came for a paycheck.

I disagree that he was "beating the fuckin shit of Rico". I re-watched that fight recently and Badr's performance outside of the two knockdowns is a bit overblown, people make it seem like it was a one-sided beatdown in favour of Hari. The first round outside of the knockdown (which wasn't even that big of a knockdown; Rico dropped to his knee and got up immediately) seemed pretty close and Rico clearly won the second round. Now of course scoring two knockdowns is a big deal, and if Badr didn't get injured he was in great shape to win the fight, but it's not like he completely dominated Rico from start to finish as is commonly viewed.

I hink both were close to being finished. Rico because of the knockdowns and Badr because he was running out of gas and hurt by low kicks.

Yeah I forget if it was at the end of round 1 or 2 (probably 1) but Rico swept Badr off his feet with a hard low kick right at the bell. Rico recovered well after the first knockdown, in between the knockdowns I would say he was having the better fight.

It wasn’t that simple, outside of the knockdowns it was incredibly competitive.
