He is destined to become a Florist
What do yo think?
Of course i mean against somewhat of a high level opponent, not complete can
I have mixed feelings about him. On the one hand, I despise arrogant people like him in the ring and outside the ring also. He has done some despicable things like beating his girlfriend, punching hotel employee and so on. I certainly would not like to be in his presence. On the other hand, I have so many memories watching him and other legends on Euro sport late at night. I remember thinking to myself, daam this guy is my age and he is kicking serious butt. It would be painful to watch him leave like this. I still believe that he is a good fighter nowdays. Let`s look at his stats in the Beny fight, before the TKO: 2 judges 20/17 for Badr and 1 Judge 19/18 for Badr. His problem is that he cannot absorb punches...I dont`t know if the problem is psychological or medical (consequences of long steroid use).
Like everywhere else, there is bad and good people. I trained at around eight different Muay Thai/MMA/boxing gyms and can't say they were mostly bad people. Even if they were, it doesn't mean one should be supportive about it.I don't understand people like you. Have you trained in full combat sports, especially kick-boxing? It is not good surroundings. It does not attract only good guys. Combat sports, practitioners, gym owners and promoters are ridden with thugs, organised crime and street gangs. Prize fighters on average are not the honourable, quiet warriors like we were raised to see in Hollywood movies. Not every athlete is GSP.
So why is everybody surprised when prize fighters do shit that us, normal people, would not do? Seriously this is embarrassing.
there is a nuance between being supportive and just not calling it out.Like everywhere else, there is bad and good people. I trained at around eight different Muay Thai/MMA/boxing gyms and can't say they were mostly bad people. Even if they were, it doesn't mean one should be supportive about it.
His fans are the worst loud-mouthers in all of kickboxing so only good if there is some balancethere is a nuance between being supportive and just not calling it out.
I am all for balance. His fans are the worst loud-mouthers in all of kickboxing so only good if there is some balance

So the logic is that if he criminal rate is higher than the rest of society, we should just embrace it? A shitty person is a shitty person regardless.Oh and not that I am looking for an argument / derail the thread, but I would be very, very surprised if in your 8 different gyms you did not find a higher % of shitty people than in the general population. I have trained in more than 8 MMA/KB/MT gyms in 3 different countries and while most people are really cool inside the gym, there is no question that the criminal element of society is usually better represented in such places. I can't even imagine how anyone can refuse that without blushing.

Im sure you would change your mind if it was one of your relatives that got assaulted by him.No, the logic is that we must not apply the standards that we would apply to our friends / surroundings / family / colleagues / neighbors to prize fighters because that is very naive to start with.
Context is important.

It should not come as a surprised that people mention it either. Goes both waysYOu are missing the point. He is a crappy human being no question. Just saying that we don't need to mention it religiously every time his name comes up, because it should not come at a surprise that prize fighters tend to be thugs in the first place. But I think we have argued this upside down already and it is not important that we agree.
You saw how civilized are the Romanian fans, exactly like in the US-EU. It wasn"t even worth convincing Moroccans of anything, just laugh at the end.His fans are the worst loud-mouthers in all of kickboxing so only good if there is some balance
