Wikipedia co-founder goes buck wild during interview

He didn’t ‘found’ Wikipedia is what I’m getting here

There was nothing wild there. Unusual but far from what i was expecting.

I was expecting some Randy Quaid level stuff.

Kind of ironic when you think about how much infighting goes on behind the scenes over edits and footnotes for controversial claims made on Wiki pages. I guess Wales wouldn't care too much for proposals to edit the "opinion" on his own Wiki's historical bio.

Yet apparently Wiki's own mods accept Sanger is a co-founder as a matter of fact.

If he ever takes an interview again, they need to ask him the same question, just put that one last on the list.

I just went to Jimmy's Wikipedia page.

Him meeting his wife at Davos sounds so romantic

I always find it funny that Wikipedia came from Bomis (also founded by Jimmy Wales), a portal back in the days where millennials like me in our teens would find JPEGS of nude babes

<{ohyeah}>

He was right to. The interviewer was awful.

Looked like he cared a lot to me.

10 years ago this was a huge deal with an "employee" claiming to be a founder. Whales saw that the interviewer wanted to intentionally bring up that sore point as he was satisfied with the response "it doesn't matter." Whales didn't care but saw that the reporter was trying to prod even though "it doesn't matter" was a polite way of saying lets move on. The reporter is kind of a shithead for wasting his time. There are so many interesting things he could of asked and instead he wants to turn it into a weird drama.
