Why were teachers so mean?

they get paid a crappy wage to baby sit like 35-40 asshole kids like 300 days a year. I got annoyed having to babysit my nieces and nephews for 3 hrs once. I think there was a point in time were the mcdonalds manager with a G.E.D was making the same 800 bucks a week they were paying my HS teacher who had to get a second job.

Things are changing. The teachers in my District are making pretty good money. Great benefits and a fair amount of paid time off. And their Union is strong as fuck

when I was 8 the principal lady also subjected me to diatribe about how my only friends were rats and bugs because of I forget why but it was my fault

back then teachers and principals had the paddle, so you start shit, they end it. now teachers cant do shit, and kids act like assholes, have shitty grades, and get fuckin participation trophies for merely showing up to class

Why were there so many evil teachers?
Shouty, moody, aggressive, desperate to show who's in charge, violent, smelly, touchy feely, obnoxious. One religious teacher brought his shottys in to show how tough he was and that no one should fuck with him

It's like only the most unstable or unhygienic scum of the earth were teachers back when, proper freaks, psychos

It's the same dynamic why there's so many bad cops, priests etc. Positions that give people authority over others with little if any oversight(with teachers there is oversight but that is about what they teach they are given a near blank check of authority in their classroom) will attract people who are eager to use that authority.

My English teacher who we use to nickname the in highschool since he act all friendly with all the hot girls and never the ugly ones.

6 years after I finish high school he was in the paper for using a hidden camera in a shopping bag try to film up school girls skirts.

I dunno. I always had awful teachers in school. Ones that went out of their way to embarrass and humiliate their students including me, many times. It's part of what made me hate school and eventually drop out.
