There has always been talk of a new breed fo fighters who are raised training all the disciplines of MMA and being experts at every aspect of fighting. We will never see this. the old breed is far superior.. why?

they were tougher. the old guard was full of guys who started out poor or fighting NHB, guys who grew up in Favelas.

now these MMA schools are crazy expensive so the only kids who can afford to train there are kids who have been raised by wealthy families. Sage Northcutt grew up in a mansion ffs. These new fighters may have the advantage of being a bit more well rounded, but they just arent tough as the OGs. they fold too easily

Duffee and Shwab will smash Cain and JDS
Member?

Been saying it for a while, this new breed is using MMA as a platform to build there brand or to become popular.

The old guard gave little fucks about money and was doing to prove they are the best in the world. Don't get me wrong, money is also a good motivator for a better fighter but Struggle breeds greatness.

you sound young, you even named your sherdog account after your college

U stands for University. If you had been to college, you’d know that.

and look who beat him

Lawler.. an OG.
Rory sat down and quit
Was about to like until your stating your narrative of " Rory sat down and quit." Rory's body quit before his will did.

hes tough for a young guy. but an outlier. I guess what im trying to say is Lawler is tougher

Northcutt's was supposed to be new breed but he's really not that good.

Well, I would say RDA is kind of new breed at least in comparison to Robbie, who is pretty much old guard in experience and skillset.

RDA used his new breed well rounded skills to dismantle him ;)

The more skills the better, and I honestly don't think upbringing and wealth has much impact on toughness. There are plenty of hoodrats that deep down just aren't particularly tough, gutsy people, and conversely there are middle class people who are fucking tough as nails by nature.

Jones whooped all LHW former great

Rampage, Shogun, Belfort, Machida, Shad, Matyushenko, Vera

lol ,no he was never supposed to be ''new breed'' dude uses 1 aspect he learned from while he was young and thats it...

he quite literally could not stand and fight.
it looked more like. "my nose hurts so bad I cant keep going" his nose was busted up and lawler hit him with another on the nose and he just sat

I get what you're saying. The gym I went to 10 years ago was run out of an industrial park garage put together by local former high school wrestlers and cost $20 a month. No coaches. Now all the gyms have diet coaches, BJJ coaches, muay thai coaches, MMA specific coaches, full weights and cardio equipment, property in commercial areas, etc. And memberships are $200 a month.

There's a type of guy you won't get in that atmosphere.
